National Weather Service Monitoring Drought Potential

The National Weather Service of Springfield says they are monitoring a drought potential.

Over the last three weeks, most of the area has seen below-average rainfall for June.

Dry conditions are developing in portions of South Central Missouri and Southeast Kansas.

Springfield has observed 1.88″ of rain for June. The National Weather Service says that normal rainfall amounts are around 3.02″
