(KTTS News) — Some Missouri congressional leaders are saying no to the debt ceiling bill that passed the House and is headed to the Senate.
Southwest Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison was one of 45 Republicans who voted against it.

Burlison says “Southwest Missouri sent me to Congress to end Washington’s spending addiction and fight the swamp, not enable it. That’s why I voted to oppose the bill.”

Senators Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt plan to vote against the Biden-McCarthy compromise in the Senate.
The debt ceiling deal does nothing to balance our trade deficit with China.
