Homeless, Not Hopeless- Give Hope

The River is asking your help to end homelessness! Become a “Key Maker” on January 23rd, 2018. Housing is the key. For only $20 a month you can become a “Key Maker”, unlocking an end to homelessness.

The Kitchen, Inc. is dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in the communities they serve by providing housing and stabilizing services with dignity and compassion.

All donations up to $8,500 will be matched on January 23rd by the Scripps Howard Foundation.

The Kitchen, Inc. operates on the Housing First philosophy. That is to first provide stable housing and then meeting other basic needs. Studies prove once basic needs are met, individuals are more likely to focus on additional areas of their lives and make positive progress.

The Kitchen, Inc. offers four types of housing: Emergency Shelter, Rapid Re-Housing, Permanent Supportive Housing and Affordable Housing.

Currently, The Kitchen, Inc. houses more than 100 families with children, The Rare Breed Youth Outreach Center provides dinner for about 70 youth a night, and Home at Last has helped nearly 400 veterans since it began.

Please stand with 106.7 The River and The Kitchen, Inc. to help end homelessness in our community!
