Springfield Branson National Airport Holds Disaster Drill Tonight

Don't be alarmed if you see police, fire, ambulances and first responders at the Springfield Branson National Airport Wednesday night.

A spokesman says it's all part of the airport's disaster drill, which is done every three years.

In Wednesday night's scenario, a plane has crashed and firefighters will work to put out the flames and then search the plane.

Actors will be scattered about, portraying injured and deceased passengers.

Several agencies, including Springfield-Greene County Emergency Management, Cox and Mercy EMS, and the American Red Cross will be on scene.

The event will be held from 6:00-9:30 p.m.
