Springfield City Council Approves Animal Control Expansion

If you live outside the city limits of Springfield, you'll soon have access to animal control. 

City Council has unanimously approved increasing animal control staffing and provide money for one vehicle with a temperature controlled carrier. 

The city will accept more than $200,000 in annual service funds from the county for the expansion. 

A sales tax approved by voters allowed the Springfield-Greene County Health Department to expand its program into Greene County by July 1st.
