Moms Clean Air Force Hosting Food Drive In June

A national cause is partnering up with a local organization to help kids in need this summer.

The Moms Clean Air Force and Ozarks Food Harvest are joining many other states in participating in the national “School’s Out Food Drive” throughout the month of June.

The Senior Director for the Missouri chapter of the Moms Clean Air Force, Dominique Browning, says the food will provide children with additional food when school is out, and ease the burden of food insecurity on American families.

"Each school day, 94% of America's children suffering from food insecurity are provided healthy food through the National School Lunch program. We heard from our members and partners across the country that there is a need for additional food for the children, during summer months when school is out, in the communities in which we word each day."

Browning added that as an as organization dedicated to the health of children, this is an issue they just can't ignore.

Moms Clean Air Force Missouri chapter locally will be collecting food for the Ozarks Food Harvest. For more information, or to host a collection bin, visit
